Even before I saw the trailer for this movie, I read its summary here on DA for the contest and knew I not only wanted to see Tim Burton's latest work, but also submit my fanart of it for him to see (hopefully!

).

I love Tim Burton. I love Johnny Depp.
Funny story- I got to know Johnny Depp through Tim Burton, and because of Tim Burton, I knew Johnny.

Tim's stories, and remakes of stories are amazing. I notice from the trailer that "Dark Shadows" seems light-hearted enough, but when I remember movies like Edward Scissorhands, The Corpse Bride and even Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, I know there are some undertones of the creepy and strange that really identify the brilliance of his work. Even if it's just a re-visioning of a story already told before, he makes the story new again.

At least that's how it is for me. <3 I have very happy memories of Tim Burton movies, as well as of Johnny Depp.

Okay, enough of my rambling-

I really hope I captured Barnabas okay here.
Gosh, what a gorgeous vampire.

I haven't heard much of this movie yet, but bless Tim Burton if he's gonna bring back the old vision of REAL vampires nowadays, in times of sparkles and shit! XDD
