Second try (of 3) at the lovely, mysterious Barnabas Collins~

Maybe it's because I've had to stare at this guy for a looong time to draw him properly, maybe it's Johnny Depp's cheekbones (god I hope I shaded them properly here!), or maybe I just have a thing for the quiet and enigmatic, but...

He has this charm, I swear.
I can't wait to see the movie! @u@

:D did I told ya...lately I finally had the chance to see the movie dark Shadows....it´s sweet and scary and funny (but not so much like I expected) but I think being a funny movie wasn´t the main intention of Tim Burton...:)

Waaah! No, you didn't tell me!!
That sounds awesome! 8D I haven't seen it yet, but now I want to (wish could see it with you! ;.;!)
I usually remember Tim Burton's movies as more creepy + heartwarming (like the Corpse Bride or Edward Scissorhands), not so much comedy...just a touch of funny here and there... not ALL funnyfunny... but I'm sure Tim handled the comedy in Dark Shadows very very well! c:

aww well when I think of the movie "charlie and the chocolate factory" this was much more fun and not so malncholic! but your right tim burtons stuff is always a bit sad and oppressive!! maybe the media just guild up a different image of the film "dark shadows"...like: look here a funny movie with vampires in the 70´s!
But Burtons movies aren´t so superficial^^ speaking of edward with the scissorhands....gawd,...and old film but sooo sad and socialcritical...ya know the feeling when you can´t watch a good movie so often cause it touches your hard so badly?!-.-

OOOHHH "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was amazing and SO much fun!!
I even heard that the daughter of the author of the original "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (Roald Dahl) said that her father would definitely prefer Tim Burton's version of the story- it stayed true to the whimsy, but at the same time realism (of Charlie and his life), and captured all the magic he intended, it seems.

The media DID really sell it as a comedy. o-o I guess maybe it was the media's impressing this on us. "LUUK. 70S VAMPIRES." just like you said. :giggle:

I cried the first time I watched Edward Scissorhands. ;.; I know so well. And I know I wouldn't be able to watch it again so soon without reacting like that again!
The poor sweetheart, I thought Edward was totally cute and he was a very kind person. ;n; It really resonated with me, and I imagine with you too 'cause we seem to react the same way to things like this- our hearts know what it's like to love someone wonderful yet shunned by society as a 'weirdo' :(

does Edward with the scissorshands remember you of MJ too?I mean he´s also just a simple heart with good intentions and the society around him is just awful ;( it´s unbelievable when ya think how old this movie is :))
I´m so happy ya have the same opinion about charlie and the chocolate factory...*whisper* am I weird?I think johnny depp as the willy wonka looks sooooooooo hot+cute...xD he could give me a private tour thru his chocolate factory muhahahaha...sorry ^^

;.; Exactly. Exactly.
I'm that girl, and Edward is Michael... and we're so in love and I think he's perfect the way he is but society is all aaaAAAAAAARGHfjkdlsjfljfbjflds;. x.x
I also couldn't believe the movie was so old, but its ideas and story are so timeless. ;.; My mom laughed at me when I told her I'd JUST seen this movie, she saw it ages and ages ago rofl. XD!

DJGKJD;SFA;AA!!1?????? I'm even HAPPIER that you also think Willy Wonka!Johnny Depp is super cuties! O_O I also found him totally cute and charming!!
People say he absolutely reeks of/was influenced a bit by Michael (his distrust of adults, and preferring company of children, and having his own very magical property he lives on), but I don't see it as much. He's a very unique character in his own right  and definitely a ladykiller 8D! That calm witty sort of charm, eeeee.  why sorry?! You're among similar-minded company, remember?? 8D
